Steyr To Put 6340 Terrus CVT, Plus Tractors & FieldOps App Front & Center At EIMA

Steyr will showcase its latest tractors and precision technologies at the 2024 EIMA International Agricultural and Gardening Machinery Exhibition from 6 to 10 November in Bologna, Italy. The tractor manufacturer’s stand will feature the largest Steyr tractor ever, the 6340 Terrus CVT, and its new, multiple award-winning Plus range of midsize utility tractors.

    Steyr Precision Ag Tech

Steyr’s stand will include a Connect Room, where attendees can learn about Steyr precision technologies and the benefits of remote monitoring for their farm operations. Steyr will also provide information about FieldOps, its new farm, field, and machine data management app and web platform.

FieldOps monitors and securely records field and machine performance data that growers can use to assist in decision-making, long-term analysis, and planning. The app can automatically capture data from Steyr tractors and other connected machines in an operation’s fleet, no matter the make.

    The Steyr Flagship On Display

The 6340 Terrus CVT sits atop the 3-model Terrus CVT tractor series. Its 6-cylinder, EU Stage V-compliant engine is rated for a maximum of 340 horsepower (250 kilowatts) and 1,398 newton-metres (1,031 pounds-foot) of torque at 1,400 rpm. Steyr says it designed the tractor to meet the demands of Europe’s largest farms.

A host of precision farming technologies complement the tractor’s brawn, including the S-Guide automated steering system, the S-Turn II automated turning system, and the Easy-Tronic II headland management system.

    A Peek At The Plus

The Plus tractor range includes five models powered by Stage V turbocharged FPT F5 3.6-litre, 4-cylinder engines rated for 80 to 117 HP (59 to 86 kW). The series’ top model produces a maximum of 506 N-m (373 lbf-ft) torque. All Plus tractors have a 2-speed electrohydraulic powershift Steyr Plus Transmission with 24 forward and 24 reverse gears, and all can reach a top speed of 40 km/h (25 mph).

Plus tractors include style, cab, hydraulic power, and other upgrades and employ a brake-to-clutch system. The latter makes loader work easier by enabling 1-foot disengagement and braking.

Steyr says Plus tractors are well-suited for arable and grassland jobs in lowland, hilly, and mountainous conditions.
