Amazone Unveils Teres 200 Mounted Reversible Plough

Amazone has added the Teres 200 to its mounted plough lineup, providing farmers with a mounted reversible plough option for tractors rated for up to 200 horsepower (147 kilowatts). The Teres 200 V and 200 VS are both available for four or five furrows, provide hydraulic furrow width adjustment, and use SpeedBlade plough bodies.

    A Blade Breakdown

Amazone says SpeedBlade plough bodies allow for tillage at maximum speed with minimum wear, in addition to other benefits, thanks to two factors. One is SpeedBlade’s patented extra-large front shin on the mouldboard, which Amazone says greatly reduces wear on the main body. The second is Amazone’s “plus hardening process,” which introduces carbon during manufacturing to create a hard yet smooth surface to the mouldboard’s front.

SpeedBlade plough bodies are available in different slatted and solid mouldboard profiles to support various applications and objectives. Amazon says the combination of the plough bodies’ “sophisticated” design and the advantages the hardening process results in a low pulling requirement, which translates to fuel savings for growers. Farmers facing especially harsh conditions can opt for HD plough points.

    Ready For All Operating Conditions

The Teres 200 comes with infinitely variable hydraulic working width adjustment and front furrow adjustment from within the cab as standard. AutoAdapt front furrow adjustment technology allows for automatic and precise front furrow adjustments when the total working width is changed. Operators can also make depth adjustments, either mechanically or using hydraulics.

Amazone makes numerous optional soil-engaging tools, including skimmers, trash boards, landside protection, sword landside, disc coulters, and a swivel press arm for operation with a packer. These let operators adapt the Teres 200 to different operating conditions, such as incorporating organic matter or working on slopes or in stony and heavy soil.
