Opis
Here is a very good, low-use Deutz Allis GP 2.50 Round Baler / Hay Roller. This is a second owner machine and it puts out a great string tie bale as shown. And in fact the owner swears it's a better bale than his new $35,000 John Deere tie baler which he needed to buy for tax purposes recently. But he can't keep two balers so this one is now available.
This baler can make an adjustable size baler but the nice examples in the pictures are 4x5’s. It can make a nice 4x4 too or most whatever you want including 4x6 I believe. This manual tie chain baler also is self oiling. And you can see the tines have hardly any wear. We are guessing this is around a mid-1990’s baler. The first owner of this Baler was a small farm neighbor of the current owner who retired. The baler has been cleaned, washed and put away for winter under the shed and is all ready for spring. Some of the pictures with hay on it are from this summer and most of the pictures were taken recently with it put away for winter. The owner always ran this with his Ford 4000 tractor. It has a re-settable bale counter on it which the owner would set for each field and the last field he did this fall he rolled 42 rolls.
Recommended HP: The recommended engine HP is 59. The owner runs this with a Ford 4000 tractor which is rated 57 HP engine and 52 HP pto. He comments it operates it great with no issues. He runs it on level ground. He also has ran it several times this past year with his John Deere 5055e which is rated 55 engine HP and 49 PTO HP and says it operates it perfect too. He's making the maximum bale size with this baler and he did make comment if you were making a smaller bale you wouldn't need as much HP. Also it does come with a manual
The owners manual is included which has good instructions on adjusting bale sizes for your preference. These are two comments mentioned online about this baler: “I use a Deutz 2.3 to make the small rounds for a few customers that prefer them and although it is an older baler it is a workhorse...no belts on it and it makes the nicest little round bales.” “I have two of the Deutz Allis 2.5 ‘s and you are right they are a workhorse. We used to custom bale with them. We still use them but now put up only 600-800 a year.”
