With simple adjustments, a single Universal Feeder can function as three different feeder types in one — Saliva Lick Feeder, Ad-Lib Feeder, and Creep Feeder. Creep Gate Sets are available for any lick feeder model. Saliva Lick Feeders: livestock use their tongue to lick feed from a narrow tray. Livestock only produce a limited amount of saliva per day, which restricts daily feed intake. The amount of feed consumed is further regulated by adjusting the width and depth of the feed groove. Universal Feeders’ Ultimate Series model offers the easiest feeding adjustment on the market. We recommend the Original only if feeding free choice, as Original is not as user-friendly to control feed intake. For manually limiting feed access, choose Ultimate.
