This 20-row, 30" fertilizer applicator from Farmada was designed and built for rental fleets or large acreage farms that have adverse terrain conditions. The 6"x6" center frame tubing is 1/2" thick and the 6"x6" wing tubing is 3/8" thick. The frame is grease-less. All drawbar and fold pins are made with 2" hardened steel encased in maintenance free composite bushings. Depth gauging is done via 8 x in-line 385/65R22.5 tires. The outside (wing) tires are singles which creates superb tight turning performance or field contour following. The 4 transport tires are set up in two pairs of connected with an oscillating axle. Each pair swings independently of the other enabling the frame to contour according to the road or field conditions. During transport, this set-up provides an evening out of the transport load while the side-by side arrangement reduces machinery swinging/jerking on long road trips that tandems tend to create. When these features operate in the field the allow the frame to flex up a total of 96" and down 88" to adapt to any terraces or contours. The NH3 system features the Continental Cooler set up as a 4-section shut-off. a 200-gallon tank is mounted on the tongue to accommodate nitrogen stabilizers. A rate controller and nitrogen stabilizer injection pump are included. The row units are proven row units from after-market supplier ShieldAg. Smooth 24" coulters are mounted on the front bar and the edge bent shanks and 18" sealers on the rear. The automatic trip force on the shanks is 800 lbs. The knives are frostless knives from Shield.
