S&J and Loewen Farms are offering one of the most unique pieces of equipment you will find on the internet. -This could be a MASSIVE OPPORTUNITY for anyone in the Hay and Feed business -This is what I would call a Hay Repacking System -Here is what it does: -You can take any large square bale of grass, alfalfa, wheat straw, etc. You can place 2 at a time on the conveyor belt, it then feeds it onto the chain conveyor where it peels the bale apart -It then feeds it into the top conveyor that sits on Load Cells -On the computer system, you can enter the desired weight you want each package to be, then once that desired weight is loaded on the belt, it will automatically turn on -It will then feed it into that top cylinder where it will be compacted with a hydraulic ram and compacts the hay -Once you have your bag on the end of the shoot, you use the foot pedal that controls the second ram to push it out of the shoot into your bag -Most of the Loewen Farms' straw was 22lbs per bag, Alfalfa was up to 35lbs per bag, this is totally customizable -This whole process is automated, the computer does everything besides putting the bag on and taking the package off -You will then use the heat sealer to seal each bag -This whole system is a one man operation -It's capable of producing 1 pack per minute on alfalfa -The computer and hydraulic unit was designed by Kanamak Hydraulics -The rest of the machine was Custom Built by Loewen Farms, they modeled a lot of this unit from Trojan who builds a machine similar to this one overseas -The hydraulic unit is a 3 phase hydraulic unit, again, designed by Kanamak Hydraulics -The machine aside from the sophisticated Hydraulic and Computer system is very simple to work on and get parts for -All bearings, belts, wear parts were all sourced locally, so anyone with any mechanical skills can work on the machine -The machine breaks down into 3 peices, it's bolted, not welded together.
